That's a good move. Should make it 16 and under
But it is not just that, parents should take an active role as well.

You can't just depend on government to do all the job.

It's Europe after all. At least one parent is passive.

when i was 11yo

I played Amiga500/commedore64 for 2-3hours per day, with friends and brother. No internet.
If it would be 8+hours a day it would be a problem.
But not think the French president have to say anything about it.

No need laws and rules for everyone, when only 5% can not handle reality.

My HI school was on national news yesterday: not allowed to have a smart phone all day long at school, not even at breaks.
Its a prison with gates, and forced to stay within, even if have 2 hours no classes. Not when i was young

Sounds good on paper, but is a trash proposal in practice because it will predictably lead to one of two outcomes:

Either this law has no bite because kids just use trash mail/a VPN/click a banner asking "are you 18?", or it gives governments a foot in the door for eliminating online anonymity.
At the end of the day, access to social media is something the parents need to decide and regulate, not the government.

Yes, its a excuse to force humanity to loose anonymity online

Controlling the sheep for power.

They first put it in a nice box to sell it with a double agenda

An Irish MEP has asked the EU's most senior foreign affairs official to apologise for suggesting Ireland's policy of neutrality is in part due to Ireland not having a modern-day understanding of 'atrocities, mass deportations, suppression of culture and language'

i read that earlier. its funny because the day before yesterday our national broadcaster was saying that Kallas was representing Ireland and i rolled my eyes at that statement. Then the next day she came out with her diarrhea bullshit comment and i was like, yep thats her.

Ultimately Kaja Kallas is a product of her environment and is in alot of ways like the Israeli's - YOU DONT UNDERSTAND OUR POSITION, YOU WERE NEVER IN THIS POSITION, SO YOUR OPINIONS ARE IRRELEVANT.

thats basically what she is saying.
