What's the ideal gear set up for a gg nova sorc? I see alot of conflicting recommendations

Well you know it's like, what you mean ideal, the expensive pvp boy'ers will say, you gotta have jewelers of the whale n crazy insane j00ls .. which costs a fortune ... will you be the big man n pay for it? I won't.

Kira's guardian, any j00l, gem n rune you like. Um is nice then. Y ou wanna go 200% fcr, this is impossible, now we're talking like griffon's, or 20% fcr circlet sort of style.
Big upped skin of viper. they sey enigma is best though, but again, big man expansive ... can you pay? N then = No 200% fcr. Impossible.
If 200% fcr, megafist
If 200% fcr, spider belt
If 200% fcr, 20% amulet, 10% fcr ring n ring. Last ring can get skipped if you calculate 200% perfectly from the shield.
If 200% fcr, big spirit siheld with 30-35% fcr thereabout
You gotta have the spirit sword or similar good'un


200% fcr nova sorc to me is very very fun. It's like the formula 1 car, or even f-zero like for the super nintendo, you go so fast, you are top. But, if you go like 125% (isn't it).. then it's like, you can vary the gear, you can play around, and if you even go like infinity, now you deal big damage, seriously big damage, but no shield though, n you stuck at 125%. But, many people like it. I must be the 200% guy though. The fun factor is the key to me. I play for fun. N 200% is the big one. It's super fun. But oh so expensive. The griffon's is so hard to get. Also a good 20% fcr amulet. Or 15-20%. You gotta craft it, and it's gotta be good.

I hope this clears something up for you. And keep commenting. I like being of use. Lol. I don't like being misused though.

Would 200fcr clear as fast in hell as 125?

It's very hard to say. I haven't tested speed clears like that, because i only play hc. My thought is, 200% is the fastest if you play flawlessly, but 125% with self wielding infinity is not far behind. And easier to use.

Ideal setup for maximum damage.
Selfuse Infinity
Griffons
Then add enough FCR to reach 105

You will have 25 from Griffon
can get 20 more from Gloves
can get 20 more from Belt
Can get 20 more from Amulet
Can get 30 more from Armor
Can get 10 for each ring (You prefer not to use FCR on rings, Since Sojs are very good here).
So feel free to pick and choose

105 FCR is the bp

The “best” in terms of clear speed + survivability is,
Self use infinity
Merc uses insight (prayer merc with cure helm + chains of honor + insight)
Griffons
V magi with 5/5 facet
Arach
Magefist
3lightninfgskills/10fcr magical Ammy
2x soj
Boots = whatever but most use sandstorm for the Psn res as it’s the only resist you care about. Other good options are rare/crafted (if crafted either blood or caster craft is good) with mods such as mana, max mana %, life rep, Psn res,

Inventory is:
Sunder Lightning GC
1-8x Lightning skill GCs depending on how much room you like in inventory
As many 20life/17mana scs as you like depending on how much room you like in inventory
However many 20 life/11 psn res scs as you need to hit 75 psn resist

I think the general consensus is that Infinity/Obsession as primary is BIS for Nova sorc with 105 fcr breakpoint. But why not get the best of both? Infinity/Obsession as the primary with 105fcr and keep Hoto/Spirit on swap for 200fcr (with CTA in cube for prebuff). You'd get the dmg and insane tele speed on swap... am I missing something here?

Dang... an 08 that doesn't explain or give an explanation to others that are trying to give advice... your advice in this quote you posted is crap... literally you are taking a dump without pulling down your pants.

200% FCR vs 105% FCR build... items worn etc... what is the difference here? It is based on PvM ONLY... NOT PvP or P1 or P3 in your reply., your reply comes from YOUR experience right??? Well... WHY?

Break it down a bit more:

P1 to P3 ... 105% FCR is MORE than enough to kill fast as $hit
P4 to P6 ... 105% FCR is MORE than enough to kill fast.
P7 to P8 ... 105% FCR is MORE than adequate to kill fast in a Group, and decent enough to kill Solo using strategies.

200% FCR is essential in SvS PvP and adjust inventory to win.
200% FCR in PvM is OVERKILL and a waste of time because the player needs to have Strategy and Hand / Eye co ordination in PvM runs to make it smoother or deal with extraneous outcomes (1 or 3% of the time out of 1,000 runs).

Basically... the OP needs to play with both setups and find what is better for themselves.
