yea had a talk here some months ago that this was their aim all along. They would actually take the whole thing if US isn't now telling them to stop the war, now they have to wait until some aggression is shown in order to play victim and try again. Think the european union and US should sanction them.

it does not matter if they are sanctioned. The US will only tamely sanction them "do what you want just tbh" and the EU and the UN are irrelevant. (harsh but true).

I think sanctions would work and top generals and officials should be put on the ofac list. Then the ICJ arrest warrents should be upheld. That would be an adequate start.

The US would probably step in and sanction anyone that tried to sanction Israel. its a non-runner.
The ICJ is despised by the US and is also, unfortunately, irrelevant.

Sure but not really relevant. My genocides bigger than yours. I think the world for the most part now has fully come round to agreement that yeah, what is happening is pretty wrong. There was undoubtedly action that had to be taken initially but we're well past that with the actions that have actually been carried out.

Considering Gaza's insane growth rate before this war, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the present-day population of Gaza was bigger than on Oct 7 2023. Can you really call such a conflict a genocide?


But other than quibbling about the correct terminology, I'm kinda with you. There seems to be an emerging consensus among Israel's Western allies that starving out millions of civilians or engaging in egregious landgrabs is wrong and going too far.
