bro wtf where do you work? lol
Northern Canada. There's significantly more to be made if you want it in underdeveloped areas of Canada. I'm not willing to walk those gray areas and put far more importance on the life in work life balance but its out there.
Think of the significant amount of contribution and grant money that federal, provincial and other bodies administer, now consider the amount of Community Governments, Reserves, Municipalities and Hamlets that don't have the financial capacity to write proposals and acquire such funding, nor have the financial capacity to provide year-end reports to those funders to get any holdback amounts.
There's many, lets say entrepreneurial people out there who thrive on areas that have minimal capacity by charging a % of funding obtained amount. Which I wont partake in, on one hand you're helping communities obtain money they otherwise would not have, but at the same time, all the communities are the same and you're just taking off a % of their funding and changing the name on the next application to a new communities name. I find it parasitic.
But there's much more than that available, there's also significant proposal work , writing and a good consultation rate. Monthly retainers just to provide xyz town, reserve, community with capacity. There's always work to be had in underdeveloped areas in Canada since Canada has funding pots of money available, especially to indigenous groups. If you can provide a worth-while service you can write your own cheque.
