the narrative around winning a 2nd or 3rd MVP has ALWAYS factored in playoff success, to which Embiid has none. only MVP to never advance past the 2nd rd and the best team he ever beat was the 48 win Raps

Again....MVP in regular season has NOTHING to do with playoff success....

In fairness that 76ers team that lost to Toronto in 2019 played the Raptors a hell of a lot harder than the Bucks did in the third round or the Warriors in the finals

I enjoy ragging on the 76ers and Embiid for their lack of playoff success as much as the next guy- but Giannis won the MVP that year and also got exposed by the Raptors .

The Raptors were outscored by 90 points over the course of the series with Embiid on the court in spite of how awful his shooting was ( and it was awful )
The Bucks only outscored the Raptors by 10 points over the series with Giannis on the court ( in spite of the fact that the entire series was only in favor of Toronto by 6 points )

Once the Raps solved him in game 3 it was over.

So yeah feel free to expose Embiid ---- but Giannis didn't deserve his awards and has been exposed repeatedly as a one dimensional player who's weaknesses are easily exposed, a regular season juggernaut who runs the court and stats pads and chokes in the playoffs.

NBA Championship where they got to play - the heat who's best player was Goran Dragic because Jimmy Buckets played through a back injury - then the nets who it took them 7 games to beat even with Harden and Irving Injured, the Atlanta Hawks and then then the Suns ( Literally got handed the fucking championship on a platter during weird covid nonsense )

Giannis has been exposed as a regular season merchant, dude can't shoot 3's, can't shoot fts, can't shoot mid range jump shots ( sure we'll pray this season was an outlier - in the face of his entire careers worth of work im willing to not jump the gun on a few months of mid range success this season )

And even this season , the dude was a net negative in the first round of the playoffs culminated by an elimination game they lost by 1 point in which Giannis was -18 on the court for ....went 8-15 from the ft line and had 5 turnovers with 1 assist.

Like sure he's a monster around the rim, great -----and other than the worlds luckiest run in the bubble, he's been just as fucking unsuccessful as Embiid, Embiid can't do it because his body is made of glass, Giannis can't because his fucking game is made out of glass

Take away the Bubble season and his playoff record of 30-33 would be worse than Embiids 29-30

even knowing everything I know about both players I'd still take Embiid, and I fucking despise Embiid, at least with him there's a chance I'd have the best player on the court

Dude averaged the most FTs per game and the leagues worst %

Well you’re delusional then because Embiid is one of the 3 worst contracts in the NBA. He’s nowhere close to being a net positive contract and you’re taking him ahead of a top 3 MVP candidate? Ok

You're defending a stiff who is this many years into the league still cant shoot to save his life

And you wonder why he's regressing and peaked so many years ago.

Embiid might be fragile health wise but when healthy he's soooo much better than Giannis. 3 level scorer who can actually shoot the ball in this era lol. The league already figured Giannis out hence why he cant do shit anymore despite being healthy.

Calling Embiid's MVP a pity award while he put up Wilt type of numbers, leading the league in scoring on great efficiency, and playing elite dominant defense anchoring a top 3 defensive team in the league. That's wild stuff 😂

33/11/4 on 66% TS with DPOY caliber defense. "Pity award"

Embiid should have more than one MVP if we wanna talk about it. Everyone knows Jokic stole one from him in 2022.

Here you are saying 33/11/4 on 66% TS is great

Giannis averaged 33/15/7 on 65% TS this year in the playoffs

Can’t do shit though I guess

I remember when Swan used to say Jahlil Okafor was a top player.

Nobody is questioning Giannis greatness. Guy is consistently a top 3 type of player productivity wise.

Hes just limited and defenses in the playoffs know how to let him get his but still win.

Still cant shoot this far into his career and has no bag. His size and athleticism are 100/10 but his skill set leaves a lot to be desired. Embiid is the whole package. Hes big, athletic, and one of the most skilled players in the league with elite shooting touch. If Giannis could shoot and had more ability to face up and not just run people over he'd be the GOAT lol
