Cancer seems one of the most random selection diseases. Seen it take down life time healthy people and animals out of nowhere and extremely fast. Then the regular culprits like you describe who have elevated their odds.

Other than friends and family who have gone through treatment. Have had 3 of my 4 dogs in my life die early from cancer. Have tried to improve lifestyle, exercise, and food, and the last to go was the healthiest dog I've ever had.

Being from the poor socioeconomic ranks growing up, we probably not getting screened enough.


Anyways, I've long said Democrats were committing elder abuse, here is another bullet point proof. Poor guy couldn't even enjoy much end of life. Cocaine in the WH makes a lot more sense now.

The fatties, alcoholics, addicts or chain smokers who work all their adult life and then die at some point between 55 and 70 from lung cancer or a heart attack or other diseases with a strong lifestyle component are actually doing public finances a favor. The biggest drain aren't those who live so unhealthily that they die early, it's those who live to a high age and spend a decade or longer in nursing homes receiving ultra-expensive care.

The fatties though occupy so much bandwidth throughout their life. The smoker or drinker has acute deterioration so whatever time is spent in health system is nothing compared to fatties that probably spend 20-30 years being a constant visitor. Between all the chronic conditions these people are constantly at doctors.

Not all fatties are morbidly obese to the point that they are already chronically ill in their 20s or 30s, though.

Yeah but things like heart disease, diabetes, etc are chronic issues that literally last decades. An overweight 40 year old could live until they're 70 and half the reason is we have a well developed healthcare system that on a per capita basis they over consume for a really long time vs like an alcoholic or smoker that turns to it only when something is finally wrong.

This is completely delusional. They are ongoing extreme expenses throughout their life, and they live quite long relatively nowadays, propped up by modern medicine

And yeah the fats are by far the worst and it's not even close
