sure prices being proportionately the same for someone outside of jsp is correct. that's already been addressed, though.

you're a bright guy, sort of, ukon. I'm sure it's not beyond you that if a pvm player finds a shako a week after reset, there would be way more players lining up to pay um for it had those players not already been supplied with 5 fg shakos from the sea of bots.

drop the defensive act for a second and you'll realize that's true.

Stop playing jsp and this isn’t a problem.

But the lack of pvm players is due to lack of pvm content, difficulty and lack of change over the course of 23 ish years.

Not that there are bots running in the background that legit players can’t see.

guess I overestimated your literacy level

if there are 10 shakos on the market and 100 people wanna buy shakos for um, you'll sell your shako instantly.

if there are 10 million shakos on the market and 100 people wanna buy shakos for um, chances are people won't be lining up to buy your shako.

so the player base rapidly declining has nothing to do with the hundreds upon hundreds of people making threads here and on other forums about quitting the game because they are upset about bots? are those people planted actors or something in your reality, lol?

People can only do baal runs for so many years.

But yes people the people on jsp that only pvm, are actually playing jsp. While using d2 as a way to get a dopamine hit because some input that they did, clicking buttons In a video game, had a “valuable” output, finding a shako that they can sell for nerd nuggets. Now they quit because that input is worse less because the output has less value.

If there was pvm content for these people to actually play the game, this wouldn’t be an issue.

The issue is content. Not botting.

thank you, you summed it up well.

can't trade the items you find due to bots oversaturating the market = pvm dead = small player base = pvp dead = game dead = bots (generally) bad

I knew you had it in you pal

e: I'm sure you love bots and that's fine. bots are good for you (shrinking pvp player base aside) but what I'm trying to arrive at is that you're not the average d2 player. the average d2 player isn't a fan of bots and it makes no sense to minimize their experiences and values based on your (fringe) experiences and values

To me it's more like this: The lack of pvm players is due to inflated pvp scene. Too much sadness expulsed from high end pvp gear hoarding scene. Then when new players comes, they get put down and hardened by this scene, because they are told to buy an expensive list of gear, and don't really learn to play the game as it is meant to be played. And then they quit, and play something else. As i wrote: Back in the day, it was life. In-game, there were dozens of public games, could always find someone to play with and interact with. Today it's not. It all changed with the pvp scene. That's what killed the game. And botting of course. Blizzard had to only pay two employees a yearly salary and implement 1$ a month for players, then they could rid the game of 99% of all bots at all times, and make it clean for clean players. That's everything that needed to happen.

Well well .... i guess that's how it is. Even nova sorc can work if one get gear from honest players. And don't have to pay it.
