How do we know they weren't treating him? We're arguing meaningless semantics because it's a nothing burger at this point. We know the timeline for this cancer to get to this level is years. They either missed it (hard to believe because he would be getting frequently check, but sure it's possible) or they weren't being forthright. It would be a bad look IMO to as soon as he gets pushed out the way to pop up and say oh btw i also have cancer, the natural question would be why didn't you get out of the way asap.
How do you expect them to cover up an ongoing cancer treatment for a sitting POTUS, though? Whether it's surgical removal, chemotherapy or radiation, it all comes with significant time off or visible physical decline (emaciation, falling out hair) beyond what we saw from Biden. (His decline was more mental than physical anyway. He already looked thin, pale and feeble back in 2020.)
And that's not even going into the logistics of making sure that every single one of the physicians, nurses etc. remains silent and doesn't spill the beans. Or making sure that the press doesn't notice Biden regularly going to the hospital/doctors regularly coming to the WH.
You are right, however, that it's meaningless semantics at this point. The big bottom line of this news is that it once again reinforces how utterly preposterous it was for Biden to run for another 4 years in spite of his rapidly deteriorating health.
