The majority were fine with letting them live. This wasn't enough for them. They dug their own grave by trying to force their way of life on everyone else, force everyone else to not just tolerate but accept and embrace it, etc.

And the vast majority of Americans also have no problem with adults choosing to live as transgenders when it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights, security or private spaces. Nobody cares if you choose to be transgender, or choose to be an elvis impersonator, or choose to pierce your body with hoops used to hang yourself above a BDSM sex dungeon. Its your sex dungeon. When you demand the "right" to force other people into your sex dungeon or impose upon children, that's when the pitchforks come out. The only reason transgender people are controversial is precisely because we aren't allowed to just let chicks with dicks live in peace, the militant trannies demand they be allowed in womens sports, women's toilets, women's shelters or just the few openly demanding women must suck their girl dick or else deserve to be murdered, an oddly common refrain in tranny circles.
And its also a bit more muddled with destructive vices with shared societal harms, which is the justification for banning drugs and prostitution. Radical libertarians have argued over those points, but they're a lot more grey area of diffuse harm compared to the direct infringement of people's rights demanded by transgender activists.

I have a feeling even you are on the lesser extreme side compared to Goomshill here though. The dude cannot stop talking about "trannies". I swear transgender people must be on some people's minds 24/7 which is really bizarre because in reality they are so rare, so innocuous and the only reason they're so prominent is because of the weird alarmist internet and news media.

Transgender people and nonbinary people have been around long before the internet and they will never go away. We can't wish them away. We can't force them away. All we can do is accept them and make rational arguments when there are things we disagree with, we can't just fall to blind hatred.

Please answer me this. What about transgender men in men's bathrooms and sports? Do you also think this should be banned? Isn't this a slightly more relevant thing to talk about since we are men. I have no strong opinions on transgender women in sports, I feel like there is an unfair advantage that has to be addressed particularly in competitive sports. If you found out a man in your bathroom had a vagina and was born with a vagina would you feel threatened? I wouldn't.

So here's the thing: Are biological males inherently more dangerous? Because if say this we can justify all sorts of awful things towards boys and men. I don't like that framing. I do not think people should be judged based on their sex, which again you said is immutable.

Its a cultural fad, bandwagoned and adopted as a free pass for degeneracy by some and forced onto others. We didn't just magically sprout 10000x the amount of transgender people as previous generations because alex jones was right about chemicals in the water supply. Transgender children are like vegan dogs. An investigation into Planned Parenthood just last week found at 11 out of 33 locations tested they prescribe hormone therapy to underage teens on their first visit without parental notification or any documentation of medical history, and at 7 of them they offered to prescribe them on a first virtual appointment.
Jesus at least when rich white liberal women were adopting autistic black kids from kenya to wear as a virtue signal accessory, they might actually be doing some good in spite of themselves.
