Will lower resis stack with sunder or is it moot because the sunder is already removing the resistance?

will lower resistance lower the resistance into the negatives like conviction does?

Yes both will stack with sunder charms but at a reduced effectiveness I believe it is 1/5 of the value same as cold mastery.
- res from gear stacks at a 1 to 1 ratio. Hope this helps

So if a monster’s resistance get sundered , how well can I predict the lower resistance proc from my merc’s plague to be ? Additional -res correlating to the level of lower resistance?

Sunder isn’t removing resistance.

It’s capping enemy resistance at 95%. Then your -resist from facets and lower resist and conviction lower the enemies resist below 95%

Level 12 lower resist gives -57 all res. 1/5 of that value is -11.4
So the lower resist will lower the resistances by 11 after they have been sundered.
If you have facets or dweb the -res from those work at 100% value.
So with a lower resist giving -11 and let's say -50 from dweb the resistance of the enemy will be lowered by 61 (-50 + -11)
95 -61 =34
The new res of the enemy will be 34

I thought sundered meant it removed the immunity all together

They are no longer immune but they have 95% resistance. You you will only deal 5% damage to them which is quite low. That's why infinity/lower res and -res on your gear is important to deal meaningful damage.

Immunity and resistance are different

Immunity means the monster has 100 or more resistance

To remove immunity, you need to make the monster go to 99 or less resistance. Given infinity only does -17 resistance against immune monsters, if a monster has 117 or more resistance, they remain immune.

- enemy resistance from things like facets only work against monsters that aren’t immune, or to be more clear, monsters that have 99 or less resistance. Therefore, if you are fighting a monster that has 117
Or more resistance, facets won’t lower the resist below 100, making them still immune.

Sunder charms automatically set your enemy’s resistance at 95, making them no longer immune. Then infinity lowers their resistance by 17 since they were previously immune. Making the enemy now gave 78 resistance. Then your facets will lower their resistance further.

Just another example of your thorough lack of understanding of the game. Which is why you still can’t comprehend that Lo > ohm for blade skills
