How does trade site work if you're using steam to login to POE2? I thought you needed a POE2 account to trade?

Your steam acc should be linked to your Poe acc in the official site

I was told i didn't need a POE acc?

You don't. All I did was when logging in was choosing login with steam and it linked my steam id and worked with that
