But for real: a major, hot war between two huge countries with nukes is the absolute last thing the world needs right now.

They only have 342 nukes between them, and Pakistan doesn't have any ICBM's

Even without nukes, a major war between two countries which have 1.7 billion people between them would be disastrous.

1.7 billion people and immediate surrounding areas.

I don't think it would be that bad for surrounding areas, hell the United States didn't even hand out 5 cent Potassium Iodide tablet packs to its citizens when It was threatening Russia over Ukraine.

Ignoring the unthinkable human tragedy of 342 nukes exploding in one of the most densely populated parts of Earth, there would be a shockwave of economic impact affecting everyone else for a time. That is assuming the such an insane scenario doesn't pull in other nuclear countries into the war, like say a 3rd country that also has a claim on the Kashmir region
