No idea, i live here in reality where DSD's exist, brain issues also exist and trans folk are not wired normally, if it comes down to respecting some ones gender identity or being responsible for a suicide i will be respectful because i have moral values.
I do not want to see them playing sports where they hold an advantage or using bathrooms beyond single stall genderless bathrooms which are common in my country, other than that i just let them live their lives.
https://www.abs.gov.au/media-centre/media-releases/abs-releases-first-ever-estimates-lgbti-australiansThey have to post Definitions, for made up terms that never existed prior to trans controversy.
Maybe the issue isn't sex, sexuality or emotions.
Just perhaps it's mentally related.
If you have to treat people with soft gloves because they may kill themselves, then everyone will become a cry baby about every little problem and threaten to kill themself.
Furthermore if they're making self harm threats or participating in that type of behavior, it's already a clear indication there is mental issues involved.
Yeah, there's a big difference between folks with DSDs and trans-identifying people... but thanks to queer theory they all get lumped together.
Reading more about DSD atm.
but, I find the argument you present to be similar in other health related situations.
Autism for example, there are severe cases where the person is actually suffering, and there are people who claim to have it as an excuse.
edit: ah I see what DSD is, the abbreviation threw me off, it's similar to what I posted with the abnormal chromosomes. They are specific disorders, (like a male with XX)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disorders_of_sex_developmentThe thing is though, that a man or woman with a chromosome disorder, does not guarantee they get the opposite gentials or brain or any part of the body.
It can even mean they are disfigured or have severe health decline. To back this up, DSDs include things like Turner syndrome, which is not gender or genital related but still falls under a DSD category.
So if DSDs are not 100% related to gender or sex.
of the less than 1% claiming to be trans, and are suffering from a gender or sex related DSD, how many make the final % count.
