One sides donating to a murderer, other side donating to someone who said the N word. Meanwhile, kids with cancer who could use that money are dying.

Absolutely unacceptable behavior by the adults. Kids will be dumb, parents need to do better raising. If you got a problem with someone's kids, talk to the adults don't engage a kid like a moron. If an adult has an issue with another adult treating their kid wrong...why the camera and media clout. No good actors her, but the cameraman seems the most non genuine. Rather than turning the bad situation into some kind of positive, let's reinforce victim hood and enable stereotypes from an out of context nothingburger.

Some context for Rochester MN. That park looks like its by the Civic Center east side of downtown. The neighborhoods over there were mostly all white cheap low to medium income. Another one southeast of this is the same, cheaper lowish income white neighborhoods. The city of Rochester brought in thousands of Somali in the 90s and disproportionately burdened the low income neighborhoods. If you go south east one more neighborhood zone you hit the apartments by the armory these people lived in. Police over there all the time. Building was completely broken few years back when changed owners

What happened is the Somali branches out into these other areas and pissed off the locals. It starts with an old school or church suddenly turning into a Mosque in the middle of the white 'hood'.

Leads to these ghetto outcomes. Seen way worse around the dog parks. The one by those Somali apartments and the trailer park was always a blast.

What do you think MN will do to make an example out of this woman instead of dangerous criminals?

With luck they'll do the proper thing and say there is no evidence of criminal activity and press no charges. Trying to turn her into a martyr would backfire tremendously

There's dark forces in MAGA. He pardoned people who beat up cops and tried to overturn the government. He invites them to Mar-a-Lago. Cultists like Goom will rationalize whatever he does, and before the term ends, things could get very ugly.

What really worries me is that I know whatever he does, no matter how illegal or immoral, his cult will defend it. He's an evil sociopath, and the only restrictions on him are the courts. His supporters do not have American values.

Are you sure this story in particular has anything to do with Trump or MAGA?
The woman was minding her own business at a park when first something was stolen from her bag and she was confronted and followed by a persistent Somali rapist who very much wanted to provoke her and capture it on video. The donations she got are a transparent response by the public to the crowdfunding for Karmelo Anthony after he murdered someone. Republicans didn't really weigh in on it at all, and the only politicians and activists to seize upon it in the first day were the NAACP and DFLers in Rochester who jumped early and heaped praise on a pedophile.

I am 100% sure that even if Trump had never come onto the national stage, given the trajectory we were on with the pre-existing Black Lives Matter movement and the inevitability of flashpoints like George Floyd, we would still have stories similar to this one as Americans swung the pendulum back. That's the nature of cyclical social trends, extremes lead to backlashes. I've said before Trumpism is an example of a safety valve, when Americans were fed up with the hollowing out of our economy and liberal social extremism. If we didn't have the steam release valve opened, that pressure would have boiled up and maybe someone actually dark and dangerous taken his place. To pretend Trump is responsible for events which don't involve him, when every logical analysis of social trends says would occur anyway (and perhaps be much more dire), well that's just TDS

Some donate to a rapist, others invite a rapist buddy to their white house.
And Others, on the other hand, are delighted that individual cases like the one described here exist in order to further their political agenda.

Not every white Trump supporter is a racist, but every white racist is a Trump supporter.

I don't think Trump was a safety valve, because he's simply amplified these dark forces I'm talking about. He's made his supporters worse people. Look at January 6th. I know you think that was no big deal, but it was, and it's an example of how Trump has increased the pressure and hostility in America. He's made our politics much less civil and more hostile. He's turned people like yourself, not a partisan in 2015, to someone who could be a regular on Steve Bannon's show. And you're an intelligent person, so the fact that you can change so much shows how potent Trump's effect on America has been. He has an effect on people that is very strange, where they become more like him, in all the worse ways. You might call it TDS.
