No no and hell no lol.

We were going to try for this year but since we are moving in a few days it'll probably be next year.

Getting a venue and catering and all that. Not super expensive but not cheap either.

edit: got a lot of family on both sides that want to come.

finding that sweet spot is a bitch, but possible w/ the legwork of pricing out multiple vendors

some of it requires reserving things like a year out

if you can get the venue/food decently priced that is half the battle

The venue we were considering also caters too, so that's 2 birds with 1 stone.

I just realized I don't think we have considered music yet. Not sure if we want to hire a DJ or just do that ourselves.

imo go the dj route

itll cost an extra grand or two, but they basically control the flow of the entire day (making announcements, transition between phases etc). unless you have someone handling the logistics already

vendor will likely have recommended djs that have worked there before. helps if they know the physical layout of venue

flowers can be expensive

photographers can be expensive, but probably worth the cost

yea

Honestly not sure what we are doing with décor or photographs. I think we had talked about that thing where you just get a bunch of disposable cameras and let all the attendees take random pictures with them and go off of that.

those disposable cams suck

blurry photos and red eye

good idea in theory but very few photos will turn out good. have a few but don’t rely on them

could also try doing a QR code/scan/upload to google photos, but will prob have limited participation

youll need/want a photographer

taking the family photos. his side of the family, her side, coming down the aisle, first dance, all that jazz
