What step are you struggling with? Maybe I can help, I'm quite familiar at all that AA stuff.


I was on my 4th step before my 2nd sponsor dropped me like a bad habit

I still struggle with sobriety, namely weed, I have about what feels like 2 pounds of weed at my house, I need to give it to my friend Adam, because he doesn't smoke it I will, he lives about 3-4 hours away from me, so I'll have to give him all my weed stuff sometime in the next two weeks.

I lost my cool, and gave into my frustration, and I ripped an AA book in half, and threw it at my former sponsors front door, then drove away, I feel lost with or without my former statement having happened.

Wait never mind I was on step 8.

I kind of didn't go to AA for 5 or 6 months, that's kind of where I forgot where I was in all this.

I tried AA before…didn’t like being there and honestly agree with someone else here who said it will just draw you in more to do what you don’t really want to do.

If you don’t want to drink, don’t. I know it’s easier said than done, especially if alcohol/weed has been your outlet for stress for quite sometime.

My wife recently told me a good strategy that she heard about: if you feel the urge to drink/use- just plan to do it the next day. Say to yourself “I’m going to have a big drink tomorrow”. It’s been subsiding some immediate urge and nudging me to go get busy with something else and then I forget about the want to drink altogether. Hope this helps.

The key to stop drinking is to keep smoking but stop drinking. So if you feel the need to consume you just smoke instead of drinking.

It worked for me. I don't have the drinking habbit anymore.

i agree even tho i quit smoking weed but in AA they dont want to do whats proven to work they want you to convert to the misery cult

Why'd your sponsor drop you? "Because you weren't taking the steps seriously?" LOL wtf

I'm quitting all drugs, including alcohol and weed.
