I kinda regret selling this coronet, maybe it would have been a bit better for LK runs to be able to cast higher radius Confuse curses.

...and a public service announcement regarding white monarches.

I kept finding cracked/crude monarches from a body - figured I would eventually need some spirit shields for the endgame, so I fixed them with the El rune + chipped gem recipe, and tried to socket them in the cube. The maths would have said that I had 50% chance of making them into 4 socketed ones each time. After creating my 5th 3 socketed monarch in a row, I was wondering if I was just extremely unlucky (since that would mean rolling the same 1/6 5 times in a row) or if there's a catch to it. Well, I googled it, it turns out these "repaired" monarches are not high level enough to receive 4 sockets, so I wasted 5 cube sockets. It's okay though, because I already have way more gems/low runes than I can spend, but at least I learnt something new even after 20+ years.

At first I thought this was one of the many failed cubesockets I was about to vendor, but I decided to keep this 3 socket Thresher for a future Hustle weapon in case it makes more sense with summons than an Insight would.

Remember that armor rack I mentioned sometimes drops a pair of heavy bracers? I found out that whenever I teleport from the superchest house under it towards the rack, it's about a 50-50 to drop tigulated mail or heavy bracers. It paid off and found a trang gloves. There's also an armor rack above the top house which is kind of out of the way but sometimes drops a Hierophant trophy, trying to figure out what makes it roll that. 80% of the times it's a jawbone visor or bramble mitts, neither of which I'm interested in, but a Homunculus (or some nice +skill 2 socketable base) would be a cool upgrade.

I was really happy for 3 whole seconds before I noticed it's a druid skiller. The Um rune is nice.

I was really getting bottlenecked by my inventory, pretty much my complete inventory, all stash tabs and my cube was full of hoarded low runes, gems and random stuff.
I decided to clean out the whole thing and separate it into 4 tabs. I used all my non-amethyst and non-ruby gems to reroll grand charms - that's how I randomly got a 30% lightning resist one. From now on I will keep picking up every single flawless gem, since I will have the space for it, and just reroll GCs with them. The arreat's face I'm still not sure if I will ever use on a barb mercenary.

I will experiment with using less charms as well, any close calls I had I could easily save&exit and just go next.

• Tab1: Quickly throw everything here that I find during the runs but cannot be bothered to deal with yet.
  
• Tab2: Kept a pair of every rune below Ko, and 10 spirit packs in case I ever get 4 sockets on a monarch. I'll probably not make one before making an Enigma though.
  
• Tab3: Crafting caster amulets and blood rings once I get to a reasonable level to gamble proper bases for them. Maybe even earler if I struggle with space.
  
• Tab4: Progress tab, my normal gear, and a couple of bases for the future until I find either the runes or some better bases (eth 4s wyrmhide, eth 3s dusk, 4s crystal sword, 3s mage plate, 4s flail, 3s thresher)

Just when I was about to give up after not finding anything significant for 300+ runs, another Sur rune dropped. I had to kite the mobs around and could barely snatch it with the telestaff...
I still might respec soon and just continue hell as a summoner. 2 Sur runes are only third of an enigma and Jah cannot even drop in LK as far as I know. Maybe I will equip a 3 ptopaz helm and a 4 ptopaz armor and just let the summons do the work.
