Tonight could be the end of our season. Watch the Rockets win tonight just to tease me with a Game 6 back at San Francisco on Friday night. Because why not? If they want to break every piece of my shattered heart why would they do it tonight and lose this series 4-1? They're going to make it a 3-2 series and delay my misery just because that's the cruel thing to do. Just more intense basketball and high blood pressure extending into the weekend.
I wouldn't even be shocked if there's a Game 7 on Sunday but I really do hope I can relax once and for all after tonight. Once our playoff run ends I can focus on the NBA Lottery (we have the Suns pick) and also whether or not we can put together the right trade package for Giannis, Kevin Durant or Trae Young. Also I've heard Ja Morant's name being rumored in a potential trade to the Rockets but I want a superstar that's actually focused on winning. Not a fake gang banger that likes to wave a gun all over the place. I'd like to include Devin Booker as a trade possibility but the Suns seem eager to give him that two-year, $150M supermax extension.
I really do believe with a good off-season this summer. The Houston Rockets will be playing in the 2026 NBA Finals next year.
It's been way too long (1995) since the last time they played in the NBA Finals. They didn't even have HD-TV back then.
This was back when the NBA was the best! Players took pride in their defense. You could legally hand check on the perimeter. Disney music for Orlando. LOL
