The hypocrisy with regard to the walls in the ME is no different from the hypocrisy of Western "champagne socialists" who also make all sorts of "culturally progressive" demands with no regard for the societal consequences, knowing subconsciously that the adverse effects won't affect themselves.

You're also leaving out the fact that the liberal/leftist Western Jews are VERY critical of Israel's conservative government and policies. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the folks from this Jewish "refugess welcome"-faction participated in rallies against the Gaza war...
