I'm liking this league with the addition of more ways to craft and I've done pretty good for myself, 90 divs so far.

The thing is, i need help in understanding the though process of what goes into a good monk quarterstaff, I made this pretty good one which, when I price checked goes for about 8 div so I'm pricing mine at 4 but I haven't tried a monk out yet and so I don't have intimate knowledge of the builds etc.

I have certain questions in my head that will help me improve such as:

- is Flat Physical and % Physical always a must? (i heard some builds convert phys into elemental dmg)
- do people look for % elemental damage if that's the case?
- how do people search for weapons on the trade site, is it just pure dps? do you look at crit% as well?

I know these questions are very broad and build specific which is why im throwing them out to monk players that tried it out in game, just looking to up my game for a bit.

Phys % + phys flat damage \ crit \ attack speed \ crit damage

more crits = ignore res on crits

imo increased elemental damage with attacks is good, I always get that on mine, boost dps numbers a good amount

+skills is ok but makes your mana cost go up a good amount

i always chose cold damage over lightning damage but both are good depending on your main skill
+dex is always nice too for gear req / falcon technique [ dex = attack speed ] (i think thats the name of the skill)

i always choose the high crit chance and bonus weapon for monk.these two are the most important stats on weapon.
the second is higher dps.regardless of kinds. phy% or elemental flat.the higher the better.
good adds %elemental for attack and attack speed.



you can try to list the 4divs quarterstaff to 5ex or 10ex.
even so nobody will buy it in my opinion

i played Monk last season. Dunno about changes, but 4-5% Crit Rate and high Attack Speed Bonus in Suffix is important. Prefix High Flat + % Phys for me was better than Elemental % and Flat Elemental DMG. But maybe this depends on other Gear. as 5/6 rolls look for Crit DMG in Suffix and any other DMG in prefix.
