that being said, how valuable is vita actually and how does it compare to ee ?

Ee in low lvl armor is useless. Hardly anyone uses it. That's why there is little demand

im aware of that, even tho i personally have to shrine from time to time at lvl 15+

what i´d like to know is, how vita translates to ee, 1 vita = 1 ee or similar ?

just fyi, in general you can apply similar principles from weapons.

1vit =
0.9ee on a plate
0.75ee on a chain
0.6 on a scale
0.4 on a leather
0.25 on a padded robe
0.1 of a robe.

1 int works in inverse although high int is valuable on robes for caster reasons rather than higher defense.
