My co workers are afraid of the Twin Cities since Floyd, and other paralleled regions. One used the light rail system and that was game over. USA is huge though, it's really region by region. Most Midwest states are as large as EU nations, lots of variation.

As for tourism, don't care. As far as I'm concerned many parts of the US need to rip the tourism as a replacement for actual industries bandaid off. For example, my region touts environmental tourism industry which is great, until you realize it's Seasonal 5 month boom, 7 month shit. And most of the tourists are completely out of touch citidiots. Worse, the second property owners running commercial real estate in residential single family zoned small towns. Yeah, tourism is really good. We love th Canadians especially, great tippers

We all have our local problems, that's not the point though. Imagine, you have to apply for a visa, have to disclose everything, get the permission, buy a ticket, board it. When you arrive, some borders officer who doesn't like you for some reason or thinks you're suspicious can detain you without prior notice, put you together with real criminals for several days and deport you without you having a chance to consult a laywer and clarify what went wrong and can be amended.
Think outside the USA bubble and imagine you were that person. It sucks, right? That's called a police state. Here, the actual examples:

What you can't find in English speaking media is that two teenage girls gave an interview to "Süddeutsche Zeitung". They say before they were deported they were made to sign forged statements they didn't make. They were threatened to be kept longer in the detention center if they didn't sign.

I've traveled outside the USA and been subject to similar general circumstances of random interrogation for a brief time, It's really not that uncommon even in first world countries in EU and Asia. The specific anecdote those three faced seems ridiculously long given the info. That is three in a pool of millions.

Nope, the media hand picked those 3 from Germany, there are more from Swiss and Canada. Even it's one time, to be detained and deported like a criminal without being able to defend yourself = police state.

Every person I know who had one set for the USA canceled, a lot go to Hawaii from here. Perhaps for some small economies in your tourist areas might take a hit but overall its not that large of a dollar number to the USA.

It is unfortunate, and its unfortunate for Americans looking to travel abroad because once again were back to wearing American shame and using Canadian flag patches as a coverup.

Still going to go to NYC and the Hamptons during summer vacation, highly doubt there’s going to be a problem.

It’s true. These goobers on d2jsp are just ignoring the fact these two “teens” were making money while in the states intending to never report it. These same goobers will complain about a deficit one day and blame Trump.

It’s the same song and dance. People pick which items fit their personal morals and a lot of times they leave out things that would technically fit their agenda but won’t paint the same picture they want.

IE… “We want the economy to grow and deficit to shrink but we also want people to get away without paying taxes…oh! Unless they are rich! Tax the heck out of those guys!”

^ Literally the liberal deficit/economic mind set and it’s absurd. Just as absurd as conservatives thinking that firing federal workers will somehow help alleviate the continued abuse of the Medicaid and welfare systems.

I support total amnesty for female 8's or higher regardless of immigration status

I have the feeling that most if not all "8's or higher" would volunteer to be deported instead of hanging out with you
