Never reroll. You just need to get a new weapon. Ideally every 5 levels but you could do every 10 if you’re on a budget. I’ll look through my weapons and see if I have anything that would work for you. Your weapon is most important. You could get to level 71 with a shit armor and charm as long as the weapon has some EE on it. Granted, you’ll need to regen a lot but you’re gonna have to regen regardless.

Yeah I've just been rolling with whatever armor and charm, but haven't found a weapon upgrade in awhile haha. Good to know about never rerolling - do you generally do the master quest as soon as it is available though? Or never reroll for any reason aside from unlocking new classes?

I almost always MQ as soon as I can. I may go a level or two past every now and then in the hopes of coming across one last Evil Presence, but it’s typically not worth the time.

See my last post and shoot me a PM and we’ll get you those items.

Hey all!

This community is great - thanks for putting up with my noob questions :bonk:

1) Looking at marketplace guides, it looks like high level gear sells for far more than lower level gear all else being equal. Do people generally just hit a high level and keep farming high level mobs forever, or is there some benefit for resetting back to level 1 that I am missing? Mostly focused on fg generating tasks but feel free to mention anything useful!

2) I've read that some players choose to "sell their guild points" before attempting the master quest. I've also read that passing the master quest is not guaranteed. Is this still something that people do, and if so, do they refund the fg if they fail the master quest (assuming it then does not give the guide point).

Thanks as always :)

I could pay you 50fg per point :)

Hopefully I am able to break through this level 35 barrier and take you up on that at some point soon :)

I'm able to make it through about 5 enemies before resting at the moment :wallbash:

Great advice! I’ve now put a point into retribution and will start to level it as well.

I’m starting to stall out pretty hard around level 34 with my level 20 weapon. Do you think it makes more sense for me to reroll back to 1, or continue slogging through and resting in town?

Get to level 35 and then get an upgrade weapon. Vaeflare has posted, and those are decent to carry on climbing. Also, level 55 items will be the last items you can wield to Master Quest 71, so you will need to be persistent. Also another person posted that they are willing to pay for your Guild Points, so message that person to let you enter his guild before doing your Master Quest. I am sure that person can instruct you how to proceed.

Definitely will connect with Vaeflare :)

So 55 - 71 will probably always end in a bit of a slog eventually, I suppose. 20 - 30 with a level 20 weapon wasn't bad. 30 - 35 got quite a lot slower

Just a few tips that may help in the future.

#1: Try not to die, it helps with gaining profs for your weapons.
#2: You can Fish at the pond while sitting in town, also cook them as well. These are consumables. Try to get a Tier I Rod with like 19+ Prof, even though you can fish without a Rod.
#3: If you come across Slugslider / Gigabee and they call for help before you can kill them off, just exit catacomb, create group, then exit group (hotkey for group is F which toggles as well) ... what this does is clears your catacomb, so you have to start another one. Basically you do not have to log out of game to clear the monster festival from Slug or Gigabee.

EDIT: if you have both Slugslider & Arachnid (spider), kill off Slug first, and if you can't, hope that Arachnid uses Mirage ability to block Slugslider calling in more monsters... just target Slugslider until he is dead, then Arachnid.

PM me when you get to 55 and I can give you this axe to help you get to MQ. :)

I’d prioritize getting either an armor with as much EE as you can afford and statting a base ~100 vitality or an armor with strength and statting vitality the entire climb. Not sure what you’ve been doing thus far and nothing thus far, and it’ll take several climbs before you have an idea of what works best for you. Kinda just want a balance of killing speed/survivability, but until you’ve got a set of gear ironed out for each climb you won’t really know the best way to allocate your stats with the gear you have.

I typically use stat armors early on and then switch to an EE scale at level 50 when I play feeder through paladin, but that’s because I have a nice level 50 scale an no nice stat armors around that level. Everyone will suggest different things, but it’s all gear-dependent.

That is amazing, thank you!! Lifesteal seems like it’ll be very beneficial!

I’ve put 100% of my points into str solely under the assumption that faster kills means taking less hits making each point of hp effectively more valuable. Maybe I should have been pumping vit, but no turning back now :bonk:

My armor and charm are just random pieces I picked up for 1-2fg each and I havnt touched them in many levels. Probably almost time for me to address them :D
