Hey all!

This community is great - thanks for putting up with my noob questions :bonk:

1) Looking at marketplace guides, it looks like high level gear sells for far more than lower level gear all else being equal. Do people generally just hit a high level and keep farming high level mobs forever, or is there some benefit for resetting back to level 1 that I am missing? Mostly focused on fg generating tasks but feel free to mention anything useful!

2) I've read that some players choose to "sell their guild points" before attempting the master quest. I've also read that passing the master quest is not guaranteed. Is this still something that people do, and if so, do they refund the fg if they fail the master quest (assuming it then does not give the guide point).

Thanks as always :)

Refer as to reroll a character to level 1. But you might as well master quest at the acquired level.

Im not sure any guilds pay for guild points atm.

1, There's not much point into reroll ur character back to make it easier, as you said, high level gear are selling for alot more, but once u get to MQ level you can mq and start over, going above 80++ is just too hard with "bad" gear and not worth it it at all as your speed would drastically go down.

2, Yeah, doesnt hurt to sell guild points unless u wanna get ur own guild and try to rank it up the list urself. If u ask me i prefer playing together with ppl as that is more fun (chitchatting on voice etc makes it far more fun to play) Whenever I'm alone i prefer to skill and watch tv-shows/movies instead of climbing.
There's normally a few guilds out there that pay for GP atm, i think MO (Mount Olympus) does at least ask Mr , i think there's other guilds too but i never really paid attention to them :P
But to answer ur question, yes alot of ppl join those guilds and sell points, some guilds might even lend out gear to make it easier for urself to progress up to MQ lvl.

Very helpful! So basically you want to stay at a high level for as long as you can maintain a reasonably fast kill speed on the mobs. Eventually it will get too slow to kill high level mobs, and at that point it is better to reroll back to 1 and climb (this time a bit faster if you have found better gear).

And that is great info - I have no idea what guild points do but might be an interesting revenue stream :)

Yeah just dont reroll, only time u would want to do that is if u fuck up and skill the wrong abilities on low level.
But imo yeah u should sell the GP unless u join a guild where u have friends etc, but selling GP will make u earn a bit more fg in the beginning aswell (idk how quick u climb atm, but let's play with the thought that u do 1 MQ per 3-5 days) Then you at least would make a certain amount every week on top of finding higher lvl items that u sell (when i say high lvl items, im talking about lvl 45++ that are all trash)
Some of us are paying 30fg just for a magical shitty lvl 55 item that has no valuable stats at all, only to transmute them into essences for rerolling.

If you're planning on playing the game longterm i would also suggest getin into transmuting as that is guaranteed value already from lvl 10++ items (that's pretty much when u break even on buying items to transmute and selling magical essences)
But if u want to be able to transmute lvl 55 items+ you would probably have to spend ~4-5h each day for the next 3 years or so (transmuting only)

yeah i have no clue what guilds are paying or not, but here's a topic to PP buying at least
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=106129743&f=273

30fg / point

So that means if u play a feeder and pass you get 60fg (2gp)
If you keep playing the Sammy and pass it is 150fg (5gp)
and the value for each class pass goes up higher and higher, but u also get more doors, so maybe if u dont care much for profgain etc in the beginning it's a good choice of just playing feeder classes up to sammy earning points easier.

Awesome! I'll definitely look into transmuting at some point, but I don't know anything about any of the skilling / crafting mechanics yet. Currently played for about 1 hour and I'm only level 16, so I basically know nothing about anything ;)
