Why can't I edit my post? Is there a specific time window in which you are allowed to do so?

I couldn't find a lot of detail about it, if anyone could point me in the right direction will be highly appreciated.

The first post in a trade topic can be edited for up to 3 days. As a site customer this increases to 5 days, as a verified user it increases to 7 days.
By editing your first post within that timeframe the timer resets.

Regular posts can be edited for up to 30 min, 1h as a customer, 2h as a verified user.

oh that makes more sense, sorry if this a dumb follow up, does that means that after 3 (or 5 or 7) days of not editing/updating the main post I can no longer do so?
