I would like to propose a simple suggestion that allows us to use the resize function of any 'New Topic', 'New Trade' or 'Edit' topic textbox/window.

As you can see in the short clip below, there is a small three-diagonal lined tab at the bottom, right-hand corner of any text window (new topic, new trade, edit window) - which allows you to resize the textbox by increasing or decreasing the length or width of the textbox.

Currently, the function works fine and allows you to expand the length of any post you're creating or preexisting post which you're editing, so that you may see a greater total of that post within the textbox window and / or without having to scroll up and down constantly while making additions or edits to the thread.

My suggestion is to implement a function that allows for this change in textbox/text window size to remain in the fixed position in which it was last changed to.
- This could be accomplished through an a small edition in each user's General Settings (where Display Style, signature, avatar, orbs, etc settings are found)
- This could be accomplished by a small edit in website code which allows for any change in textbox size, to remain fixed to the last size it was set to (whereas it currently resets to the tiny default size anytime you click 'edit' on a post)

---

I had opened a topic in General Help to ask if anyone knew of any current setting that allowed us to affix or 'lock' this increased window size in place - however, this post got almost zero replies, and it seems that many of our users may not even be aware of the function's existence (where the three-diagonal lined tab can be used to resize textboxes). Due to this, I have decided to make a site suggestion which I, as someone who trades quite a bit, would find very, very useful. I believe many other users and high-end traders would agree with me here. Let's see!

Voted Yes. Seems reasonable enough and shouldn't be too hard to code/implement. Would help big traders out and wouldn't effect those who don't want to use it at all.

Appreciate the solid input. <3

I would not find this useful and can't imagine this ever being implemented by d2jsp. Still voted yes.

Appreciate the 'yes' vote. It isn't something that necessarily 'everyone' will find useful or that 'everyone' may ever utilize. However, I believe many users like myself with very, very large trade lists that require constant editing of item, item availability, item stat variations and item quantities (as they change in real-time), will likely find this useful.

This is a nice idea and I have run into wanting it too. That said I don't think it needs to be a feature that is developed by d2jsp staff, mostly because not everyone would use it.

The nice thing though is that this sort of problem can be solved with a little bit of Javascript and your JS browser extension of choice (for example GreaseMonkey). It would be restricted to your browser on your machine, but that's not really an issue for most people on JSP. I assume that most users are on their PC, and if they are on mobile they don't really need to resize their edit box.

If you're interested, I whipped up a quick solution that probably has some flaws but it certainly is good enough for a first try.

I was able to get it working through GreaseMonkey with a custom script that only uses about 30 lines of code. Hopefully this will gain enough positive interest, as it seems it would be rather easy to implement.

Great, glad my 30 lines of code was helpful.

Ended up writing my own. :P
But credit to you for pointing in the right direction, of course.
