Illegal labor is a product of American privilege and laziness though. American citizens are not willing to do that kind of work for that kind of pay. You talk about competition? Exploiting cheap labor is as capitalistic as it gets. Liberals know this. They pretend to care about illegals and show sympathy but it is done out of profit motives.

This is why capitalism will always fail. It cannot work without exploitation. It will always outsource labor and manufacturing if it makes a few more dollars for the centralized private wealth. If it cannot it finds a way to import that cheap labor whether it be illegal immigrants or work visas.

Trump on the other hand is willing to allow the American farming industry to crumble if it means he scores points with his racist base that only want to see people deported out of hatred in their hearts. It won't improve anything and here is why: Not because it's inherently wrong but because Trump and Republicans, and even liberals do not care to improve the working standards in the United States. It simply takes too much of the piece of pie the billionaire class is now feeling entitled to.

Whites used to do these jobs, the problem is that Illegals are being subsidized by the government to take over these industries.
Look at Drywall for instance, up until the mid 1990's it was all white "Hillbilly" crews hanging drywall, and black people would come in to mud tape and sand.
The same was true with residential roofers as well, the only reason these groups of people have moved on from these businesses, is because they cannot compete with Illegal labor that doesn't pay taxes and get food stamps.

The most equitable era of our nation was ironically, as left-wing as we have ever been in economics. Reagan was the sharp turn to kill the middle class and bolster the 1%.

This is absolutely wrong. You bought into the race scapegoat that Republicans and Dixie Democrats have historically used to justify their policies.

American citizens are smart enough to realize working for those wages does not cover the base needs for themselves or family.. Intervention to enable exploition of poor third world people being human trafficked and left to peonage conditions is definitely not free market capitalism. It is absolutely inhumane. Do you really think the minorities with these jobs are better off than those at the top of the chain? Or that white people also don't benefit more from social programs whether it be food stamps or anything else?

I don't blame them of course. I am one of them. I just think it's problematic to look at those being exploited and blame them rather than the people profiting off their exploitation.

Were you even alive in the early 1990's, every general contractor I've ever worked for or talked to about how things used to be had the same story about white people used to do these jobs.
