I don't really like the word fasting, or just thinking of fasting as something special - fasting is the norm for good health. The human body was engineered to eat large meals, and then go for longer periods without food - a hunt.

In an environment of abundance and opulence, it's easy to become detached from your nature by saturating your body with sugar nonstop. This is the typical root cause of metabolic dysfunction, along with consumption of alcohol

By learning to be stoic (to be at ease) with being hungry, you're in full control of your health

My favorite is when the yeast continues to ferment inside the pot belly and they have no idea the sugars just feed their chronic diseases stemming from the gut biome.

Honestly if they had the knowledge of what was going on in their body, they would be so disgusted that they would make a change

This is basically the body reverting to the ancient fermentation metabolic pathway, right? I don't know much about microbiology but it's fascinating

So fermentation stems from anaerobics and honestly if your system is lacking or depleted in oxygen then that's just a whole mess in and of itself.

Ancient, as in, before plants photosynthesized? Too much of the unknown to really say anything with certainty.

Ancient in this context refers to ~2 billion years ago, before the Great Oxidation Event. Basically before the atmosphere had oxygen in it, and anaerobic energy production was the only option

Cells and microbes still possess the ability to do this in an anaerobic environment, which is prevalent in fat people who are huffing and wheezing just struggling to take in enough oxygen for their overabundance of cells
