think it has somewhat to do with the bacteria present in place a vs place b and your body acclimating

we can probably assume there’s more bacteria in “less sanitary” water. but sounds like the body will adjust so you’re not living a permanent spray and pray life

read about this concept before visiting thailand. avoided ice

edit: after a brief google it looks like thai people might boil their tap water before drinking it. sounds like drinking poopy water should be avoided at all costs. who knew
