A few hours later, the president abruptly announced that he would pause most reciprocal tariffs for 90 days and increase tariffs on China to 125 percent after Beijing announced its own retaliatory tariffs on U.S. exports.

Trump has not actually removed the tariffs, the tariffs aren't stopped, they're Paused.

such as on a media player there is play, stop, pause control/button.

Over 60 countries begging the US to “negotiate” seems like a win. Trump can thank Finland and the UK for that one.
