I don't play SC, but I will give my 2 cents worth.
Vitality... 75 to 100 base and rest dexterity (normally I would add 5 to intelligence if I am using 100%+ EE heal charms in ACC Slot - note Tier VIII / X / XII & XIV)
EE weapon (Tier in the 10 levels... 5, 15, 25, 35 etc)
Stat armor from Tier III to Tier X (even to XIV dependent) ... EE say lvl 35+ (depending on Abilities also)
Stat Main Charm... in this case of daggers... Dex, HOWEVER, if you find a better EE AXE, the main charm can stay unless you have a better Str one.
ACC EE Heal charm with +100% or more... even for a simple 1 or more casts.
Know the monsters abilities, which to kill off first or those you keep for last to take up space... Arachnid for example can stop Slug / Bee and others if it activates its mirage.
In a group... one or two things may change... mostly stats.
Wish you luck... as for abilities... pretty much what you think works... Retribution is great when using Stat armor only... Powestrike is for attacking and successfully hit chance.... or you may like a Rogue ability... you look for it, hopefully it fits your play style.
