I bought a 2011 Chevy Traverse for 7k

something went wrong with it and now its sitting in the driveway

so always remember you could be buying something with a problem when its less than 10k

/edit if it seems too good to be true, it probably is...

That's how I see cheap cars. It's a $10k car with $10k worth of hidden costs that will add up over time. Only exceptions are Hondas and Toyotas

Honestly for the most part new vehicles are garbage.

Most new vehicles will NEVER see over the 160-200k miles mark

Well if that includes insurance that's really not that bad especially considering that's 0 maintenance plus uselly free road side assistance

Yes it is. It's horrible. He could lease a car and get his own insurance for nearly half of what he is paying renting one.

most car leases are 300-400+ tax then full coverage including uninsured weather etc. under the sun going to be at least 200 even more depending on city and state+ sex and age, also he could have a accident or two making it even worse
There's a lot of unknowns but a old friend with several accidents on his record was better for him to rent a car or get a clunker
