When you take purchase power parity (PPP), then China is no1.
USA is 1/6 of world PPP GDP.
Why I believe PPP is more important than nominal?
A barber makes 60usd/h in USA, but only 20usd/h in China.
This is because Americans are richer, and everybody can charge more.
Does it mean that American barber adds to the economy 3 times as much as Chinese one? No, he simply charges more for the same service as Chinese one.
So USA numbers are inflated, and PPP tries to make it proper.

So you believe China is better cause the average Chinese citizen can afford less? Do you see any flaw in this logic?

Trump had a golden opportunity to spike the ball on China when the Pandemic broke out, but instead he said some Goofy Goober shit, that was an old lie every time its told.
"The Federal Government has it under control"

ya done more weird/dumb stuff than that.
but he has the secret weapon
the left will always REEEEEEEEEE make some dumb plays that will in effect lift trump up and carry him most spectacularly over the finish line

Wait until you hear about the pirates that took on the USN in the red sea. After operation prosperity no friends, i am more than convinced that this one singular group of pirates could not only defeat the entirety of Europes navy, but they could invade and conquer western Europe with ease.

Global trade would absolutely go to zero if the US disappears. Entire countries and peoples would get get absolutely obliterated and genocide within days. It would be an absolute shitshow.

Most people have no idea just how much protection uncle sam provides the world.

Delusional. You just said you believe pirates would stop all global trade, which includes trade across landlocked nations that don't go over open water.

By your logic, countries like Russia, UK, Germany, China don't have military power to stop pirates (even though they are currently stopping pirates in waters that are not protected by the US)

Yes, the flaw is that you are comparing the average Chinese citizen to the average American. There are more Chinese citizens.

By your logic, Singapore is better than the US because the average citizen can afford more than the average US citizen.

No, China is "bigger" because there are 4,5 times more Chinese people than Americans. USA is 330mln, China is 1,6bln.
So even if average American worker is 20% better than average Chinese worker, it doesnt compensate for a population difference.
Also Americans are used to having a luxury life, this might be a disadvantage - they might want to elect people who will make mess in their country, just because these people false promise them to make them rich again.
Are there any populist politicians like that in the USA already?

Bit slow on the draw. I already addressed this by pointing out the average pay a US citizen gets has gone UP as the population goes up.

USA population is 4,22% of world population, and about 22% of China.
Population growth in USA was minimal.
Im not saying Trump plan will fail, because I don't know that.
Maybe that's gonna work, but maybe it wont.

The problem with PPP in turn is that it doesn't account for quality and it can be difficult to properly account for baskets of goods and services.

The truth likely lies somewhere in between,
