I made a trade for a dweb - didnt like the life after kill stat - buddy used a bot program to drop it and left so I paid and asked for swap for higher life dweb or return and hes refusing

Can he be forced to return the fg / receive item back by mods?

I realize I shouldnt have paid/specified stats prior to trade but he dropped the lowest possible roll on LAEK I just figured the guy would be reasonable and I didnt wanna be a dick holding back fg

Generally speaking, unclear trades are illegal: "List everything that is for sale, especially in packages, with as much detail as possible." - from the Trading Rules.
This is enforced when major information is missing, but it's typically tolerated when it's only minor stuff that is not stated, like for example
less relevant stats, such as the -psn res stat on a Grief as opposed to +Damage and IAS.

In such a situation, either ask for more details in advance or accept that there's going to be some randomness with the remaining stats.

And don't do drop trades. Insist on having items shown to you in a trade window before sending any FG.

Based on what you said, no. You understood the item you were buying and completed the transaction.

If there was a clear misunderstanding or someone lied about the item they were selling, then that's a different story. But if you bought and received the item you were trying to get, then the transaction was successful and cannot be forced to be returned just because you're not happy with what you bought.

based on this information, you asked for an item and got exactly the item requested

the real issue seems to you spamming the traders thread with false accusations as well as making a scammer accusation thread when no scam occurred

the LAEK was discussed in game

What would you do in this situation if you were the seller?

nothing? your trade was complete and you got the exact item you requested

you aren’t entitled to a refund because you changed your mind, and i definitely wouldn’t refund you after you make fake scammer accusations

Not shocked based off your warning/2024 account

I accused after sending several messages receiving no answer - and then an answer with no recourse

My trade was not the exact item I requested - this is the whole dispute...

i look at your post history and see this:

bin 2/50 dweb
bin 7x 5 all res sc

500 fg

so you are saying you did not receive a 2/50 dweb?

Trading on d2jsp is about exchanging FG for items. Once you send the FG, your part of the deal is done and you are entitled to the specific items in the conditions agreed on beforehand.

Noone is going to help you enforce negotiations that took place after you sent the FG, if that's the scenario here.

I did not receive a 2/50 dweb with the LAEK stats as discussed, correct.
