This kind of sounds like American cope to be honest.

Pretty sure most of the leaf posters here do pretty well for themselves so this is just a blip in time where you can get wealthier. At-least I know that's what several will do on here, cant speak for all.

I would much rather be in Canada and part of the countries on Trumps' list than be the list creator. But I also tend to travel quite a bit and have zero interest in becoming enemy #1 globally. Americans going to be repping Canadian patches on their backpacks again trying to hide.

America has been #1 global enemy since the end of WW2. im no fan of war, in fact i hate it, but did the world really think all of our wars were 100% greed and power motivated? part of being on top means you have 2 choices, stay on top through force or suffer a horrific fall. no empire just quietly moves to #2 and stays there, empires crumble.

Bernie sanders was imo probably your chance to move in this direction to improve living standards for workers.

I want to believe that, but don't think he could have actually moved the ball if he chose to clench nomination rather than be a cuck for Hillary.

True, the dems didn't want him anyway as they have the same billionaire donor class and anyone who might dramatically improve workers standards of living is no bueno unfortunately

Still haven't seen a single soul even attempt to enlighten us all on why world tariffing USA good, but USA tariffing world bad. Why does world need better-than-parity. Why not equal and fair trade.

They're outright admitting that the world is inferior to the US and in need of a handicap

What tariffs are you talking about. You clearly didn't understand the trade deficit conversation. So what Canadian tariffs are we talking here?

Also his posters were just trade deficits not tariffs. The math was posted here in another thread. And many of them the US had a surplus of trade but still slapped on a 10%.

So lets go from a Canadian perspective. What actual tariffs have come into place or, hell what's changed since Trump signed the trade agreement in 2018, the best agreement of all time I believe he stated. He's the one who wrote it up after-all which only makes this more humorous.

98% of goods coming in from the USA have none at all. Dairy which is the humor one because you have idiots touting 200-400% is set after a threshold is met, which it is not met AND that's the agreement Trump made in 2018 which again makes it even more laughable. In fact, no dairy product has ever been subject to those tariffs because the threshold of sales is so high. Zero, nil, never a single dollar of tax taken on them / received by the federal govt.

They will dance around the question and try to act like their “walls of text” aren’t doing that.

It equates to
“blah blah blah Trump bad blah blah blah”. I don’t even read a lot of comments on here anymore cause it’s the same bs rhetoric that lost the election in the first place yet they haven’t learned.
