Dude the amount of time you spend trying to get big on the internet just speaks to how sad things must be offline

"Watch your tone"

What a loser

What amount of time? It doesn't take me long to type, but as a homo sapien I have that skillset. How long does it take your species to type on a keyboard?

Also, why the fuck can't you answer the questions? They're pretty reasonable. Just going to keep whining that I'm mean and never be on topic?

I have no interest in engaging with someone who wants to debate a nuanced topic like tarrifs while they are clearly not interested in nuance

I've noticed a lot more Canadian propaganda recently in the past month.

AKA you have no argument, no intellectual rigor, you see my modest length posts and assume it took tons of time when I usually bang them out in a minute at most, so you have to resort to flimsy internet tough guy tactics from the year 1995 (your real life must suck because you post things I don't like)

Seems you can't muster up a defense for Canada's own tariffs on American exports on why Canada seems to need and deserve better-than-parity like a hood momma with her EBT card, sad

Mr intellectual, please go google "canada dairy tarrifs usa", and read the articles you find

Then come back and tell me if the claims of 200%+ tarrifs on dairy are grounded in reality

Once you realize how silly you've been send me 10fg

I mean, you insinuated that if someone answered your question they were a left-wing pedophise and then proceeded to act like some internet tuff guy telling people to watch their tone with you on the internet.

Come on guy, aren't you some 50 year old unemployed guy hanging around telling 30 year olds online to watch their tone.

Life has to be better than that.

Americans engineered the iPad and have pushed the IP boundaries on IC fabrication technology that the Chinese literally have made petty attempts at stealing and reverse engineering. They are pretty good at it now.

The way I read it, the Tarrifs working are a function of the companies that onshore aspects of their operations and also existing domestic companies that can leverage the transition to bolster their competition. The backend has to follow through with domestic resources extraction and refinement. For example, Tesla has contracts for EV precious metals from prospective US mines that are tied up by government.

As for products, I don't think the US trying to mass produce low quality goods is the recipe the admin is after. At least I'd like to see a return to high quality and maintainable goods. For example, if you buy a furnace in the Midwest you'll probably at best get a 20 year somewhat limited warranty. My grandma had a 50 year lifetime everything warranty on here greatest gen furnace. Perhaps survivor bias, but the appliances in the old folks home just keep going. Have a 70s era Kenmore chilling my beer. The LG shit broke in a year.

My concern is this strategy doesn't seem feasible in a single four year term. And certain commodities need to be extra careful with

Regarding your comments on products here. High quality maintainable goods are dead and imo shareholder capitalism killed it. Have you seen cars lately?

Well given military cut-off is at the end of 42 for the USA that puts you north of that so took a guess.

Canada, a country that hasn't experiences economic growth in many years, has announced they're creating a new pact with other countries that "share their values", and excluding the USA.

all for headlines, in reality they'll continue to import american products at just about the same rate. and they'll make some bland deal with iceland or something that changes nothing.

sad for you canadian posters, if you actually try to decouple from the USA you're gonna be in for a bumpy ride.
