Question is as I’ve seen mixed reviews, should I throw my scythe main wep on sorc and throw my lvl 16 med insight in merc and run her that way. Will her damage and survivabliliy be higher that way, I’m also planning on throwing in a 5/5 light facet into griff

There are no mixed reviews. Find the most recent self wield infinity build you saw and use that

Like void said, there is no “mixed reviews”, everybody agrees on the exact same setup.

Yes, put infinity on you and insight on merc.
You need viper + facet for armor to reach 105fcr.
Yes, facet in griff.

Your merc should be prayer, using cure + coh.
This way he gives you 3x heal aura.

Yes it will be MUCH better than your current setup, both offensively and defensively.

105 fcr break point is key for nova

I have a 5/5 facet in griff , would I use a 5/5 light facet in viper too

and you have a light sunder?

Conviction will not break all immunities.
It's only -17res vs immunes.
Immune monsters have anywhere between 100 and 170 res (even up to 225 if paired with unique auras).
Sunder will cut the immunity to 95.
Then 95 - 17 from conviction = 78
Then -res form your items is fully applied.

In your case, -54 infinity, -25 griff, -5 viper
The immunes are down to -6% res

Without a sunder, any monster with 117+ light res will stay immune and won't be affected by the -res from your items.

I did what you said, all I’m really missing is the 5/5 light facet for viper and coh for merc, just running the fort for now, but holy shit

An extra facet is even more dmg, should be noticeable.

No big deal for your merc.
But coh will give him +2 prayer, so more life regen on his 3 auras, and coh as life leech, which he lacks if using fort.
Its also more stacked res and 8% dr.

It’s insane the damage and survivability, I always geared out my sorc and merc and just ran lightning never nova and like hell travs was always a crap shoot , she’s walks through them like their nothing now, did two runs after respecting and found two Gheeds a 32 and 37 lol
