The Summon Druid is my favorite class to play in any action RPG. So D2R is the best game for me to play because of all the great changes they had made to make the Summon Druid a lot more fun and end-game viable. But I'd pick regular Diablo 2: LoD over Diablo 4 simply because I never fell in love with Diablo 4. In fact I much prefer to play Diablo 3 over Diablo 4, and Diablo 3 isn't anywhere as good as classic Diablo 2 or its expansion.

I really wish the D2R Team kept giving us new content every ladder season. They went all hands on deck for D4 and limited the D2R Devs from a full-scaled team to a three-person ghosted game. D2R does very little now. Even Heroes of the Storm (MOBA), another game that has been on maintenance mode for years, is making a small comeback and trying to update skills and encouraging more players to return. If Heroes of the Storm can simply bring back seasonal or themed events I'd probably play it more often again. But they haven't done that quite yet.

I've talked to the Diablo community manager on Twitter (X) many times. He keeps thanking me for my ideas. Says it's always a possibility. We'll see.
