I would argue it's the same outside of the rainbow option no? You can see exactly how it looks color-wise

They are non-refundable sure, but they don’t look different beside your name.
Whereas some orb colors make your name hard to read with certain board display styles etc. it’s imperative to be able to preview the orb before you buy
Stars just go beside your name. It doesn’t touch your name at all and clearly previews the stars accurately on the page that displays them.

We'll agree to disagree, imperative is a strong word for that use case imo.

I just think it'd be a quality of life update to see how the star would look right next to your name instead of CSS / photoshop / imagination hence the suggestion.

This defeats the whole purpose of donating to earn it if you are previewing it. Voted no.

I legitimately don't understand this viewpoint - how is previewing it equivalent to earning it in your opinion? It's not like anyone else can see you with the star on the forum since you can't actually use it?

While I don't really see this feature being very helpful. On paper it looks nice but it's something that could be added tomorrow and honestly I'd never notice.

I Voted yes but that being said I'd probably only use this feature once or twice.

voted no becauee in my opinion, we get stars for another reason, its for me different then the orb.
It might generate more cash flow though .
