My last 5 soccer bets. All losses. All heavily favored teams. I don't get how you guys win anything.

Today it was Marseille -155 vs. Relms +400 and it's 3-0 Relms in the 70th minute. I already turned the stream off.
I forgot what the draw was (+300 I believe) but shouldn't Marseille have been much better today? At least competitive?

Had I known Relms was this good I would've bet 400 on that +400 and made a serious 1600 profit! LOL

Anyway. Sorry for the vent. That was probably my last soccer bet and likely bet. It was fun though.

EDIT: On their official X page, which is in French, a lot of the Marseille fans don't even seem to be surprised. If my Google translation is correct. I don't know though. I'm more of an MLS fan. Houston Dynamo. Maybe my perception of the soccer odds are nowhere near reality.

Hello. I'm just feeling so embarrassed about how bad I am when it comes to soccer in other countries.
MLS is okay but the soccer over-seas seems like a far superior quality. It's surprising how good it is.

I was watching the Marseille and Relms soccer match on-line. The Relms crowd was very lively and engaged!!
It became evident by halftime that I was in trouble even though the score at half was 1-0. Relms was strong.

What's also shocking is how bad the goalkeepers can be. I just expect them to make every save. LOL
But that's because I was a great goalkeeper growing up. But to be fair I wasn't anywhere near a pro.
I simply had great hands and quick feet. I made every catch. I was terrible at kicking the ball. My weakness.

I want that goalkeeper from Marseille to be benched! That guy did his best I'm sure. But he just didn't seem to be fully focused.

Great advise. I think the mistake I make is I equate soccer odds to boxing odds. When a boxer is +400 it pretty much means they have a very slim to zero chance to win. And when I had seen that -155 I just thought it was a sure thing and a guaranteed win for Marseille. Worst case scenario I knew I could lose but I thought it would be because of a draw. Had I lost because of some wild 1-1 draw I'd probably have felt better about the loss. But I was spanked 3-1. Marseille ended up scoring a goal late in the match but the damage was done when it was 3-0 in the 70th minute and I turned off the stream.

There was a rather disappointing 1-1 draw on another soccer bet I had lost wagering on a Burnley win against West Bromwich Albion. I like Burnley because my favorite NFL player of all-time J.J.Watt has a minority stake in their ownership group. But Burnely also has a sensational and young goalkeeper, James Trafford (22 years old and a 6'6 beast of a man), who had a nice shutout streak going. I expected an easy shutout win for Burnley and the boys. And all I had seen on various websites predicting the score of that match is that Burnley would easily win 3-0 or 2-0 without breaking much of a sweat. And it was a 1-1 draw, I couldn't believe it, and Burnley had a red card ejection as well. Not to mention the goal that West Bromwich Albion had scored should've been disallowed. There was some controversy surrounding it.

I don't know. I love betting on sports. I really do enjoy soccer. But I think next time I'll just bet on something else instead of soccer. It's just a game I can't get a good feel for when it comes to the betting odds. Part of it is also because I'm a Houston Dynamo and MLS fan. So a lot of soccer I watch isn't the best quality. Soccer in the states isn't very good.

It's definitely one of the harder ones to bet on. The draw factor is what makes it difficult. It most major sports in America, there are no ties so it's win or lose. Upsets happen more often than other sports too. For instance, Liverpool seems to struggle against inferior opponents but usually beat or at least draw some of the top 5 clubs in the prem. I would encourage you to do a lot of research before placing anymore bets unless you have a hunch.

What's funny is Burnley won their last match 1-0 against Bristol City. That was the soccer match I was going to bet on this past Saturday. But that disappointing 1-1 draw was still in the back of my mind. So at the very last minute I took a chance on Marseille because of the inviting odds. I appreciate your advise. Thank you. If I bet on soccer again I'll probably just bet on the MLS. And ride or die with my Houston Dynamo. And the Dynamo so far this season are 0-2-4. They rank 14th in the MLS and they draw most of the time, but they also lost 3-1 in their last match against Portland. Needless to say I watch a lot of bad soccer and like I mentioned that's part of the problem for me. I don't know what good soccer looks like. I need to see it to believe it.

FC Barcelona seems to be as automatic a win as I can find. The few soccer bets I actually did win it was betting on FC Barcelona.
The only thing is their heavy favorites most of the time and the odds aren't as attractive. But I should take a win regardless of odds.
