Trump was literally the president who negotiated the recent trade agreement with Canada and Mexico... and he's called it rubbish.

I appreciate that Canada has a foreign leader who understands that they are dealing with a stupid man.

Long story short trump has managed to do what the Soviet union and subsequently putin could never do

Break centuries old western alliances. American products are largely dead on arrival in Canada now and the tarrifs going away in a few years wont change that.

The Prime Minister declared in public that our alliance with trade and a military relationship is over. And that's not him being salty, that's him responding to Trump's actions.

I kind of appreciate it because America needs to suffer for electing Trump.

If this trade war fully blows up, the economic suffering of Americans will be nothing compared to the suffering of Canadians. In terms of trade, the US are in such a vastly stronger position that Canada will have absolutely no other choice than to give in and kiss Trump's feet before long. But it will take a handful of months before we reach this point. The problem, from the pov of both the Trump admin and the Canadian conservatives, is that the timing lines up such that the Liberals can use this issue to bail themselves out in the upcoming election - an election which they were headed to lose in a landslide.

For strategic reasons, Trump really should have waited 2 months before starting this trade war.

foreign intrerfernce gets alot of talk these days, but only one party has been in power while this has been going on and turns a blind eye to it. a vote for Carney is a vote for China.
Pierre has been consistant with his direction well before Trump came into power and has publically said he will not bow down to Trump. If you really wish to save Canada, you need to understand that the liberal party has been hijacked and isnt loyal to its constituents.

Trudeau didnt get his clearance until the very last second before becoming pm. and again, youre so worried about foreign interferences from Pierre, while ignoring the fact that the liberals have already been caught being involved in it.
