Jalen Green will be a first time all-star next year like Alperen Sengun was this year.
I no longer want to trade him for Devin Booker this summer. He just turned 23 last month.
Jalen Green also outplays Devin Booker every time the Rockets play the Suns. It's not very encouraging to me. Superstars today lack that Mamba mentality.
2nd seed in the Western Conference with their three best players, Green (23), Sengun and Amen (both 22).
Keep adding to that young trio. Build a championship team with players you drafted. That's a smart strategy.
If the Hornets make a young all-star point guard like LaMelo Ball (23) available. He'd fit our timeline. I'd give up a lot for him.
Three first-rounders, Cam Whitmore, Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith Jr. Whatever the Hornets wanted outside our top three.
I'm still interested in Kevin Durant but he's not a young stud anymore. KD would have to be at the right price (Dillon Brooks and salary fillers) for his expiring $54 million to make sense on next year's payroll. The easiest path for Houston to trade for Kevin Durant this summer. In terms of matching his salary without trading any of our three best players. We'd have to pick up Fred VanVleet's $44 million team option for next season. And it would likely be a three-team trade. As I doubt Phoenix would want VanVleet's expiring contract.
Rockets have an opportunity to transform their roster into a championship team this summer. Or they can keep building their young talent.
