Anyone else getting the feeling that liberals have their heads in the sand and arent actually casting their vote based on the last 10 years of liberal failures?

I don't know what a month will bring, but certainly I think its going to be significantly closer than it would have been a few months ago when Conservatives most certainly would have taken it with a wide margin.

None of them are over appealing for myself anyways.

And now because a snap election was called, suddenly you have promises of a 15% tax cut on certain income brackets. Time to start promising random things we have no solution to make work or plan to actually implement. Politics in a nutshell I suppose.

Carney has a spine but my main concern is the immigration policies and we know where the liberals stand on that. Conservatives in sync too on this issue unfortunately.

It is true after Canadians have watched the antics of lunatic, they have heavily 180'd back to supporting liberal ideals and as a result the liberal's have gained significant support back again.

As a Quebecer I absolutely don’t understand how or why Carney is polling higher here, considering he can barely speak French and has the appeal of a damp rag. Doesn’t help that he messed up during an event in Halifax today; referred to the Polytechnique Massacre as the Concordia massacre and gave the wrong name for a candidate who survived said massacre.

I’ll probably end up voting for Poilievre or working instead of going out to vote.

What happens if neither the Tories nor the Liberal/NDP quasi-coalition get a majority and the balance of power lies in the hands of the Bloc? Would they give confidence and supply to Poilievre or Carney?

If Liberal + NDP >= majority, then absolutely nothing changes. If Liberal + NDP <= majority, we’re back to 2004. The Bloc will give confidence to whoever won the election, but it will be short-lived (1-2 years tops). I can understand the frustration against the Bloc by non-Quebecers or those opposed to Quebec sovereignty as it basically exists to force favourable treatment from the federal govt.
