i think the merc lvling bug was fixed, check if the +2 aura lvl isn't given by some items your merc is wearing
might aura is almost useless tbh, since most of the dm you do comes from elements, mainly light and ice
any support aura that is boosting your survivability or regen is usefull, more than any "offensive" one...personally i would not consider aim aura, but at the end its all about the fun you have with a build, it does not need to be maxed out
You're right, the merc has an Andy eth and it raises 2 levels. The assassin with Enigma only has 1800 defense, and sometimes if I get into a large group of monsters without the charges, they hit me hard and my health drops a lot. The best merc for this build is the Aura Challenge to raise the defense. I'm just realizing this, I just want to get more information.
Now there's no difference between me taking a mercenary from Act 2 Nightmare and Act 2 Hell?
