Nuts to that life. Some weeks I don't login to my brokerage even once. The odd fraud check on the credit card to make sure nothing looks unusual and that's the extent of weekly banking

Emotion = bad decisions and fomo.

Its tax time here, last year I had 3 total trades in my non-registered brokerage account that was not just adding to VUN. And registered accounts was also just adding to VUN with zero trades. Three.

Talks about hard landing or soft landing have dissolved but the matter is probably back. I personally would welcome hard landing.

Uncertainty remains right now. Tariff this, tariff that, its uncertainty, no auto-maker is going to abandon their Canadian supply chain right now and invest billions of dollars in new plants in the USA when the guy clearly has no long-term plan and is just going tit for tat saying meaningless threats. If there was some road-map to increasing domestic production so companies could actually have confidence in re-investment in the USA you might see it. But as is, no company is going to just toss around billions to adjust their supply chain for what could just be short-term headwinds. Just increase the price to the end consumer and recoup.

For now though, money does not like uncertainty, so sideways we go for longer I think.

Tariffs are a real threat; my small business is getting hammered on imports. A few of the manufactures I work with have put a halt on imports to the US due to the rising cost at customs. It’s getting tough to continue to push it on to consumers. At least for me as I own a DME shop and a lot of the demographic is on income restrictions.

Something has to give; I think it might get ugly.

It is a threat, but because it appears there's no road-map, just absurde figures tossed around as one country retaliates on another, its difficult for business to re-invest on complete uncertainty. That uncertainty I believe it what will give pause to inflows of money back into the market. For small business that can't bridge the uncertain period with capital on hand, as you said, could get ugly for them. Unfortunate.
