Devil's advocate but does this not just make it so whoever has the largest wallet for a good fools will win? The presence of EDC makes it so anyone can compete making melee SLIGHTLY less pay to play/win?

If the weapon is ubiquitous and easy to access, isn't that the definition of fair? It's equitable and everyone can swing it

Banning EDC is one thing, calling it unfair is another. Idk. Doesn't sit right with me.

Funny how all of you come out of the wood work just to talk shit about someone starting their own ladder. No recent posts, yet you sure felt obligated to put in your shitty 2 cents where no one asked for it.

I just don’t use jsp as much anymore. But my question was in hopes of starting a discussion regarding EDC. I don’t personally use it regularly except for rap duels. I can see how banning it would create diversity in gear and setups but also further favor wallet gaming.

I've been an avid supporter of accessibility the entire time I've been in the melee community. Fighting back against the proposal of banning ebotdz in the shape shift ladder, etc.

This isn't new for me. I heard there was a ladder that banned EDC and tried to call It fair.

Make a ladder, make your rules. But if you get this upset over some light criticism that was made in good faith, you should check yourself.



I think it would create gear diversity. But I don't think it increases fairness.

I am glad to see new ladders, especially self sponsored ladders pop up though
