Maxey tried playing through a broken finger on his shooting hand and hasn't even played the last 3 games. They should have shut him down long before though, he was done.

I didn't even realize there's a real possibility it could be the Rockets vs. Warriors in the first round. 3 vs. 6 matchup.
A lot of playoff possibilities going down the stretch. Warriors, Lakers, Grizzlies, Nuggets. Perhaps the random 7 seed.
But going back to the playoffs for the first time in five long years I'm not picky about who the opponent is going to be.

Seems unlikely the rockets fall to 6th

The Houston Rockets are back in the 2nd seed after the Nuggets were stunned at home by the lowly Wizards.
Would be nice to avoid OKC until the conference finals. 7th seed could be anybody after the Play-In Tournament.

At the moment the Timberwolves, Clippers, Kings and Mavericks would participate in the 7 to 10 Play-In Tournament.
But the Mavericks are pathetically sinking fast. The Phoenix Suns may overtake them for the 10th and final Play-In Spot.

The Suns making the playoffs would be bad news. We want them to be in the NBA Lottery. We have their unprotected draft pick.
So if the Suns end up making the 7 to 10 Play-In Tournament due to Dallas being pathetic. We just need Suns to lose in the Play-In.
