It's unbelievably weak to not want to destroy pirates out of an irrational fear of war, they're pirates they're not a military

One thing leads to another and next thing you know the US is at war with Iran because they’re supplying said pirates with weapons, as Trump mentions in passing in that article. They should know better, supplying terrorists with weapons is an American monopoly.

You’re not addressing the point. At best this is the preamble to yet another quasi-endless war in the Middle East, that’s the issue. Why not let our greatest allies™ or another power in the region deal with terrorism? What’s the imperative to send another generation of young men to their death? It’s all "Trump is great, he didn’t start any wars" until he will, then suddenly war is great.
