back around when rounders was released i learned poker. read a ton of books. i was fascinated by it all. the complexity of the game. varying degrees of success? then i became christian and it said stop it. ya stuff is crazy. just stopped playing. spent alot of time on play poker meet a friend there poker stars. got that goofy account to millions. it was there i became christian and quit playing, i would hang out with my friend but wouldnt play anymore. he got sick and died. the first death i experienced as a christian. i was overwhelmed with sorrow. still feel that sorrow
i watched rounders that many decades ago now. my take away was the monumental flaw in the whole movie. sitting down and playing poker with a gangster is not going to be a win, ....ever.
well? unless its in a movie.
