Ty for confirming! Yeah looks like the right set then

Ah nvm, I was reading the SPD tab on CPU-Z wrong. Everything looks good, so maybe your new set of RAM is switching over to the secondary timing for some reason. If you customized an XMP profile i'd switch it to default or set it up again from scratch to make sure everythings good

the timing tables are different (standards, MHz and voltages ...)

What can I do?

Do the RAMs all have the same CL and MHz? If timings table show it, then maybe different Cas Latencies causes some interfering?

I just noticed, that I made 2x printscreens in Post #1 and #3 of two different RAM slots - thats why they are different :)

how can I do this? in BIOS?
I just noticed that in the first post - the picture is only Slot #1. lemme quickly make a screenshot of all 4x slots

yeah I never just trust chatGPT ;)

Yep BIOS is where you setup XMP profiles. It's different for each motherboard so you may need to look up a guide on how to do it. You will want to use XMP @ 5200 though since the timing lines up with your other ram there

I believe the SPD bottom table is just showing what speeds and configs are possible for each stick, not necessarily what it's running at.

are you specifically talking about #2/#4, because SPD Ext. Says EXPO, XMP 3.0 right? Just so that I can follow your thoughts. So potentially I would need to reconfigure those 2
Sorry I am really bad with this ... xD

All of them will need to be configured to XMP@5200Mhz, as one set supports XMP and the other one doesn't. I believe if you plug in a new set of RAM it *should* reset XMP to off or a default profile, which might be the issue
And no prob! DDR5 is kind of annoying compared to DDR4 since you have to do a bit more than just plug it in to get the right speeds

i removed all and inserted all again - still same configs
I also removed just #2/#4 ... nothing changed. Still the same SPD Ext.

Also I wanted to see the speed in the task manager but there we only see the speed in MT/s not in Mhz ... But when I plug in 4x it is at 2000 MT/s and when i got 2x plugged in it is a 4000 MT/s

And my RAM's are constantly running at 8GB just right after I start up the PC .... thats kinda high. Checking the processes I dont see anything really that could make up to the 8GB ...

I forgot to ask, but are you having any issues aside from the VRAM? Like are your D2R clients laggy or something? Four of them eating up 12GB of VRAM seems to be normal since D2R is unoptimized. The SPD tab will always stay the same for each stick though since that's just telling you what configs are possible in XMP for them.

MT/s and Mhz for these purposes are interchangeable, so no need to worry about that. The speeds dropping on 4 sticks kind of sounds like what I mentioned in my first post, but can you let me know what your motherboard is? Just to see compatibility

Using 8GB on idle is fine. That's about what Windows uses just to run these days

yeah. When I load 2x D2R my screen and sound can totally freeze. Either I am lucky and it gets back on I have to restart the comp. But more then 2x copies at the moment is not possible (where I ran 4x copies easily few months ago). I also have issues with connecting to servers. every second d2R startup I wont be able to connect to the servers. This issue appeared also like 1-2 months ago, probably similar with the issue that I cannot load more then 2x D2R copies. Since then I just noticed that no value seems to come close to its limit except the VRAM / "dedicated Gpu Memory".

Why? What are your thoughts?

I thought 8GB is alot because I saw lots of screenshots now as I was googling but I guess you are right.

I have found this topic from 6 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/ahnyuj/memory_speed_tip_make_sure_xmp_memory_profile_is/
I see my DRAM Frequency is at around 1GHz, which is nowhere close to the 2600Mhz according to XMP-5200 Timetable it could possibly run at.

So deffinately going to figure out how to change that in the BIOS

Ahh gotcha. Honestly that kind of sounds similar to the Windows 11 24H2 issue a lot of games were having since December. Do you happen to be on that version? Not sure about your native language but searching "About your PC" or going to System > About will show your current version:

Ohh if you haven't set up XMP profiles in the BIOS yet i'd definitely start there. That would be why your timings are all over the place. Your motherboard model would help to see if these speeds are compatible & if they support 4 sticks of RAM being on XMP at them.

yeah bro, I got that 24H2

I changed settings in BIOS now to XMP 5200. I would have expected to see any changes in the CPU-Z tool ... but still everything the same. DRAM Frequency still at around 1000 MHz ... Any way I can see if something improved other than loading more then 2x D2R copies lol? :D

Oof, not sure if they have a fix for 24H2 but it is ruining performance across the board. Tried looking to see if they fixed it but I didn't find anything :( you'll probably have to talk to some people used to running multiple clients on 23h2/24h2 to see if they took a hit recently too

If it still shows that speed after clicking validate there's something wrong with the XMP profile, or it's unstable and reverts back. You changed it & then enabled it right? You might also need to adjust the voltage to 1.250V if it's a different value
